Day1 Resort& Luau

we were so impressed with the resort that we spent the first part of the day visiting with people from all over, and observing a culture that seems happy and respectful all the time. The Hawaiian people are really quite beautiful, and always smiling and eager to help.

The weather here is balmy with enough breeze to keep one comfortable.  The resort is located on a cove so we can see quandary, hear the waves hitting the shoreline on the sides but it is calm in the cove several young men are enjoying the paddle boats while others are swimming in the various pools.

The rooms are luxurious with many amenities.  The living area has two couches and a 65inch tv.

The bed is behind the living area and there is a small kitchenette in the hallway. Also there is a dressing room with two long closets. The bath has a tub shower, toilet with heated toilet seat.

But the best part was the large balcony where we relaxed to watch the ocean and beautiful scenery.

in the afternoon/evening we attended a wonderful luau.

Travel day.

Today is our travel day to our exciting vacation. Up so early at5:30 am & off to the airport it was so hard to say goodbye yo our fur babies. Angel always knows when she sees a suitcase that we will disappear for a while.

When we arrived & boarded in Dallas we were in for an amazing surprise as we found our seats.

And look what they served for lunch.  Beef terriaki with a shrimp.  I’m not saying it was good, but I was able to eat a little & it sure beats the stale sandwiches the airline usually offers

Each seat islike like a cubby with everything you need included  there is a 16 inch tv and the chair reclines completely to a lying position with pillow & comforter to use. They provide Boise headphone & lots of room to store things as well as goodies     Although I worried myself silly about the flight ahead of time, I hardly thought about the safety during the flight   I absolutely loved my cubby

We arrived in Honolulu & took a 35 minute ride to our room at the four seasons resort with the most amazing views

Look at the beautiful lei’s they presented us at arrival

We watched the sun go down and to your surprise we were up at 6 to watch the sunrise.

When we are on the balcony we can hear the waves beating on the shore    We really love it here

Getting Ready

And it is now the evening before our flight to Hawaii and we are excited about our days ahead, and hoping we have done everything we need to, to get ready for this amazing trip.  The pets are set, and we are packed so tomorrow we will get up at an unsightly hour and be on our way.  Wish we were taking all of you with us.

Time square.

So glad that Rockefeller Square doesn’t have an age requirement or skill level requirement for skating. Lots of fun, but I’m terrible!

Cold windy weather as we see a madnificant view from the conservatory

would you like to know who I picked to win the voice?  I pushed the buzzer right after Chari W sang.

Last Day in Ireland

We are pretty exhausted after a 16 day trip, but with the beauty of Ireland, we could easily stay longer.  What a lovely bunch of people we have met here.  We already left a part of our hearts in Paris;  now we will leave part of our hearts in Ireland.  We began the day with  a visit ti St. Patricks Cathedral which is the largest in Ireland.  It is a gorgeous stone structure over 800 years old with any stained glass windows.

We walked in the Cathedral park and stopped by this marker of a well where St Patrick baptized many of the locals.

When we returned to the car, this car covered with grass was sitting behind us.  Don’t know any more than that.

We then visited Trinity College which houses so many bookshelves of manuscripts & books.  We were able to view the Book of Keel which is manuscripts over 1000 years old which scribes copied of the 4 Gospels onto vellum.

On our way back to the hotel,  we accidentally stopped at a park across from the zoo, and were able to feed several of the hundreds of deer.  That was a wonderful experience.
